Ruts – Removal

Q: When a company removed trees from my yard, their truck left four-inch deep ruts in the lawn. How can I fix them?

A: If any grass survived in the bottom of the ruts, lift it out and set it aside. Fill the ruts with soil and lay the grass back in place. If the ruts are empty, fill them with soil and plant seed or sod on top.
