Loropetalums – Too Late to Trim In November

Q: Is it too late for me to do some trimming on my loropetalums in November?

A: You won’t get any leafy resprouting if you do the trimming now so you’ll look at bare stubs for most of the winter. That said, it won’t particularly hurt the shrub to prune in late fall. It is tough as nails. Bear in mind, however, that spring flowering will be sparse.
