I knew an old man who had diabetes. His doctor had been treating open sores on the old man’s ankles for years with no success. Some one gave the old man this very plant (He called it by the common name Sea Onion.)and told him to apply the sap from the plant on the sores. Lo and behold it cured the them. His doctor was amazed. There are hundreds of these “Albucas” but it looked just like yours.

With no flowers to help narrow down. I’m taking a wild guess, maybe a species in the Albuca genus (slime lilies)? The included link below is for one of the species Albuca bracteata Syn. Ornithogalum caudatum. Check out species of this genus and see if you have a match. If this isn’t Albuca, make new post when its in bloom again. Best wishes! http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/BULBS/Family/Hyacinthaceae/19751/Ornithogalum_caudatum
