Birds – Identifying by sound
Q: I want to see if you can identify this bird noise. He (or she) is usually out at night. It will be hard to describe the sound in words but it sounds like “tisk, wow, wow”.
I can never find it. It is in trees in my back yard. Could it be some kind of owl? I heard it last night from midnight to 6 am. It is very loud.
A: Summer is a good time to hear owls… or whippoorwills. Check this site to see if any sound right to you
