Bahiagrass – Control in Fescue
Q: Is there anyway to get rid of bahia grass out of a fescue lawn. I’m here in Charlotte North Carolina. Is it a weed or is it a grass. It just grows so doggone high in the 6-8 hot weeks of summer.
A: You could hit it lightly with MSMA (or CAMA) Crabgrass Killer for a year or two and get fair results. If you can hire a professional lawn service, they can apply metsulfuron (Blade, Manor) and get excellent control.
