Pansies – Killed by Cold?
Q: My pansies seem to have died in the recent cold spell. They were planted in an old wagon. Is there any chance they can revive or should I just ditch them?
A: They will survive but they won’t look happy for a while. The leaves and roots were completely exposed to severe cold, so they did the best they could, but the plants won’t put out more green leaves until the get a few afternoons of temperatures above 50 degrees.
You can leave them in the wagon to see what happens or buy replacements: your choice.
