Notes:
I’ve been living in my house since 2002 and this is the first time this tree has ever produced fruit. I counted only 12-15 before the birds got them. I think it’s an olive tree but not sure.

Maybe a fringe tree (Chionanthus), this might be C. virginicus. According to sources, Chionanthus need a male and a female tree to set fruits on the female plant. Perhaps someone in the neighborhood had planted a male tree recently. Check it out and see if you have a match.
