This plant showed up profusely this spring on a dirt road just cleared through Atlanta woods, so the sudden advent of direct sunlight is probably the cause. I've been in the area a lot and never seen it before. It spreads quickly, but not into the shade. I call it "7-lobed parasols from Neptune," but some have 6 lobes. Is it a weed or what?
