Finding this bug in my vegetable garden and wondering what it is; and if it is good or bad.

I have these things everywhere. I removed tape from the air conditioner and they were lined all down that tape dead. I find them in my house. I have tried everything but nothing helps.

Unless you see extreme damage from spittle bugs, use an organic spray or ignor. Seven is nonselective and will kill polinators and predators of bad bugs.

Spittle bug. In heavy populations they are damaging to Centipede and Zoysia lawns. I have seen damage to shrubbery so I would think they could become a vegetable garden pest as well. There may be organic formulations of insecticide that would help under heavy infestations. Use Sevin dust if needed.
