Notes:
A few of my pear leaves have this unusual black marking (front and back). The design is flat, not bumpy. Has anyone seen this happen before?

I tried to rub it off. It smeared a little bit, but did not come off. Thank you. Anxious to know what it is and if it will kill my pear tree.
