Hi . This began growing in my garden. Its about 6 inches high. I have some coniferous trees but nothing that matches it so I cant figure where it came from. Its really beautiful and I want to transplant it to the right place. I live on Long Island NY. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Maybe a species of cedar (Juniperus), possible the Eastern red cedar? I’m not an expert of conifers and only speculating. Check out these include links and see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://courses.missouristate.edu/pbtrewatha/eastern_red_cedar.htm
