I just checked one of my canna beds, same damage. Critters are long gone… nothing needs to be done.

Really does not look like leaf rollers. (canna skipper) Looks more like grasshoppers… Although, armyworms might also be a possibility. Really need to get a picture of the bugs, before considering treatment. Any toxins will likely harm the butterflies and hummingbirds visiting the flowers.
