Notes:

The dark marks appeared suddenly just within the past 1-2 weeks. The tree is approximately 43 years old. The large mark shown is the largest and darkest of the marks visible. Other marks are on the tree but lighter in color and smaller in size as can be seen in photo # 2. Because this tree is so close to the house and is dropping limbs we are concerned there may be a problem that may necessitate removal. Advice is greatly appreciated.

    Slime Flux can often occur quickly on oaks following prolonged periods of drought. If you are concerned about the tree’s health due to it’s proximity to you home contact a certified arborist.
