Notes:

Who can tell me what the name of this flower/plant is? This is a perennial roadside wild flower that I see every spring (late April early May) all over central and south Georgia. While this plant is pink, I seem to remember a yellow version in south central Georgia. It grows in clusters along the roadside and only pops out in the spring.

Bobby – Thanks for identifying my wild flower as the Pink Primrose or Oenothera Speciosa. The mystery is now solved and I hope others appreciate this beauty as they travel around the Georgia State highways. Thanks again.

We always called that a wild poppy. The yellow and orange ones you will see in flower beds are California poppies.
