Notes:
Growing in acidic soil with applied sand. Flower head not discerned. Seed head similar to dandelion.

If anything it is more like Conyza sumatrensis. Height is approx 1.7 meters. Perhaps the Conyza were introduced with the acquired Californian poppies.

Looks like conyza canadensis They tend to be very prolific, but their late blooming season means that we have plenty of time to pull them for the compost. You probably don’t want that one to release all those seeds… As an American plant… Could well be an invasive over there…
