Notes:

I bought it and thought it was basil because it was labeled that. I can break the leaf and it smells more like kerosene

    Maybe a lavender hybrid. According to sources the species spike lavender (Lavendula latifolia)has a camphor/menthol scent. I’m guessing yours could be a cross with L. latifolia as one of the parents (?). Flowers are needed to confirm or rule out this speculation. If this isn’t lavender, make new post with flower’s photo.
