Notes:
This is a follow up, more detailed pic of the tree I’m trying so hard to find. It’s a multi-trunk, mid-sized deciduous tree in north east TN. Starts off green then quickly turns to a bright yellow, where exposed to full sun. There are 3 different types of leaf shapes (not a Sassafras). It appears to be a bit invasive, perhaps Mimosa-like in that sense, as the neighbors have several around too.

Hi Caroline, It seems Golden Shadow is offered online only by a few limited specialty nurseries. You might have better luck when these nurseries are taking orders for plants depending on their shipping schedule in late summer, early fall, winter, etc… According to sources, you could also propagate by cuttings & grafting. The nursery on the included link might be able to help you further. Best wishes! Laura https://www.brokenarrownursery.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Broussonetia+papyrifera+%27Golden+Shadow%27

BINGO!!! Thank you soooo much. I just ordered one 🙂 It’s just a tube sapling though. Any idea where I can order one online? Thank you again!

Maybe a cultivar of paper mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera), possible the ‘Golden Shadow”. Check out these included links for further information. Click on images to enlarge on the first link.
