Notes:

Found this Wildflower/Weed on the Bushy Head Rd section of Benton Macaye Trl in Gilmer County, GA. Very small white urn or bell shaped flowers hanging from one side of stem to tip. Below are alternating leaves as shown in photo??

    They are Lily of the Valley. They come out every spring and are very hardy. if you let the grass grow back, so will they.

    They mowed the wildflowers! That is so irritating! Some states are getting smarter about their mowing schedule, but entirely too often… The crew goes in and mows at the worst possible time…. And destroys the neat plants… Leaving Yuch blech, useless grass…

    I went back yesterday to try to get a better shot and the roadside and bank had been mowed! Saw a Solomon’s Seal up higher that had gone to seed. The plant in the photo above only had leaves at the bottom of the stem. We had seen two plants so don’t think it was a fluke. Can not locate in any of my sources. Thanks everyone for trying to help!

    Possibly one of the spiranthes… I had one bloom in my meadow this year also… I ‘forgot’ to mark it for observation…

    I believe this plant is too tall to be Lily of the Valley.The stem was at least 3 ft tall. Could not see the base without getting into Poison Ivy. The alternating leaves shown went down as far as I could see.
