Notes:

My coworker found these strange objects in her yard lying, not growing, under the trees. There are only oak trees in yard, no bushes, and short cut grass. The objects are about the size of a nickle, have soft velvety skin that is pink/white and when cut they have a inside texture of a mix between an apple/mushroom. No seeds seen inside. Every one has a tiny grub in the very center. Another coworker licked it (foolishly) and said it was bitter. Now they are in my yard too. Any suggestions?
