Notes:
Donated to community garden in pot with no information. Bark is brown with a slight reddish tint. Leaves alternate, simple, non-glossy. Guessing it is a shrub. Pictures taken after plant in greenhouse for a time.

The flowers/buds details are not too clear to tell. I could only speculating that this could be a greenformhop-bush cultivar of the Dodonaea genus, maybe the Florida hopbush (Dodonaea viscosa) with a male flowering plant? According to sources, male & female flowers bloom on separate plants, although sometimes they bloom on the same plant. Check out it out if you have a match. Best wishes! https://www.google.com/search?biw=1920&bih=909&tbm=isch&q=dodonaea+viscosa+leaves&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiFpeDKid7RAhUIWSYKHXuTCPIQhyYIJA&dpr=1#imgrc=F7jdYCekFav51M%3A
