My husband and I done our landscaping at the start of warm weather. A vine has grown up in our mulch and I cannot identify it and do not know where it came from. Can you help me?

Thank you so muchappy. It looks like morning glories even though it’s not blooming yet. I’m going to wear gloves and vine it up a temporary lattice this year to see what occur before placing something permanent.

Maybe a type of morning glory as Witchazel & Jim had suggested (Iopomea). According to sources, this is a large genus with over 500 species. It is difficult to know for sure from species to cultivars. I’m taking a stab for a possible ID species, maybe ivy-leaved morning glory (Ipomoea hederacea)? You know more when yours blooms. Click on link below for images of I. hedracea. Best wishes!
