Notes:
I was thinking this was wintergreen (teaberry), but the leaves do not look the same when I try to ID it. Don’t think it’s partidgeberry because it is not a vining, groundcover. Grows in woods, berry in fall. Don’t know what the flower looks like.

It still could be partridgeberry (Mitchella repens), Beside the opposite leaves arrangement on the stem, the leaf’s shape, veins pattern and the white midrib look very similar to those of M. repens. It appears there are two dimples on the fruit in the above picture, M. repens berries have these also. According to sources, the berries could last through the winter also.
