My best guess had been something in the mustard family. The leaves of garlic mustard in the photos in the USDA database seem more pointed, more jagged and longer stemmed, but maybe that’s it. Thanks.

I’m sorry Jim, but my friend had her yard guys weed-eat the stand down, because someone told her they were invasive. I even offered to go and dig some up for ID purposes, but she’s not really interested in natives. Has mulched and planted now. I am pretty convinced that it is wild Garlic Mustard, but now I guess we won’t know. It’s frustrating. Thank you for your interest.
