This is a true boxwood, as in Buxus. If you are looking to re-create this planting, consider using a small-leaved Japanese Holly such as Compacta, Helleri, Hoogendoorn, or Soft Touch. Also, Dwarf Yaupon Holly is equally well-suited to be a Boxwood substitute.
