Notes:
This is a deciduous shrub which is supposed to have a small purple flower, passed along in Alpharetta, GA. It is 3-4 ft high and wide. The leaves have a very fine white edge.

https://sunlightgardens.com/collections/purple-violet-lavender/products/11658 I have not been able to return to the garden where I saw the plant, but it looks like it could be a baptisia

Hi Pat, I just now saw your note. Looking forward to see its flowers. You had described: “this is a a deciduous shrub”, it would have has woody stems, while baptisia is a herbaceous perennial (no woody stems). Also to my eyes; these leaves are not the same as baptisia. But not thing is definite until the flowers arrive. In your new post, beside the flowers, please show the side view of the plant & closeup of the stem. Thank you and best wishes1 Laura

It is not blooming yet, but I will post again when it does. Someone suggested baptisia, but I haven’t seen one with such a crisp-looking edge.

Could you make new post with its flowers? I have some ideas but reluctant to go further with out more information. From the look of it, this is about to bloom soon. Thank you and best wishes!
