Notes:
Bought this guy at a home improvement store a few years ago as a good “low light” plant. I named it thirsty thing because it needs a drink at least every other day. Suddenly started to die. And I could not find information on why. I put my nearly dead plant outside in a dark spot and it came back! Yea. I just today repotted it with some mint thing. And I also found it in the store again. Best I can find is it’s Pilea Involucrata BUT where does that come from? What nearly killed it?

I’m not an expert of this genus, but according to a few sources, maybe the species is Pilea hitchcokii(?). Plants are often misidentified. Also the history for plants common names are difficult to know and seems to depend on who or why it was named. On the plant ” What nearly killed it?”, in my humble opinion perhaps it was over water? You can try the experts on the second included for further help. Best wishes! https://m.facebook.com/VisionsofVivaria/posts/221910851671317
