Notes:
The leaf is a double compound with thorns on the underside. There are thorns all along the stem as well. They grow quite tall. Most shrub like with some over 5 feet. The pictures were taken while hiking in a hilly area that once was a town of wealthy residents. The town disappeared in the early sixties and is now part of a state park
