Notes:

small shrub, green leaves, flowers are at end of branches, flowers are white, drooping, in clusters, flowers in late May. grows in understory in woods. May not be “native” as it was on property when we aquiered it.

    Not able to see the rest of the shrub, I’m taking a wild guess this could be a type of privets (Ligustrum) (?). Check out these included links for two of its species. Click on images o enlarge.
