Notes:
In spring the fruit that drop to the ground are purple skin. I thought they were from a grape until I noticed they grew on a tree. What kind of tree is it?

That’s a persimmon tree! As I recall the frost needs to hit them before you eat them otherwise your mouth will pucker up something horribly!!! I know that because we ate them as kids………..

This is a persimmon. they are great after the first frost. Before that, they really are bad!!! they make great pies, and are nice eaten fresh. Those of us who grew up in the country grew up eating these little fruits. Buck
