Notes:
This weed grows at the edge of wooded areas Ð Fayette county. When I pull the small plants in the spring, I donÕt seem to be able to get roots out of the dirt. Most are about 6 inches tall in mid-April. The photos are the April stage. My husband insists the weeds are full of chiggers in the summer. This weed grows tall (around 3-4 feet) and thick by fall. It produces seed-like off-white flowers in the fall. By winter, the stalks lose the leaves and the stalks are stick-like.
