Notes:

1) I see this white flower all over – What is it? Even though I suspect it’s a weed 2) This plant was given to me but what is it? Tall stalks, mauve flower “balls”…

    The white one looks like Queen Anne’s Lace (Daucus carota) (AKA Wild Carrot). If it has a purple blossom in the center of the cluster, then that’s a dead giveaway. I haven’t always found the purple blossom, but that’s how it got it’s name. Also another identifying feature is if the stem is green and hairy.

    However! If the stem has purple blotches and is smooth then it’s a nasty cousin- ie. Poison Hemlock. Apparently it smells bad when crushed.
