Notes:

I found this in Woodstock GA on a woodland forest piece of land. It was spreading around a creek and I have never seen it before. I would think this would be a native plant of GA and it looks like it would be invasive. Could you please let me know what it is I would appreciate it so much. Thanks, Jacqueline

    Thank you so much for the information. I am attempting to plant some in my backyard which is wooded. I will let you know if I am successful in the transfer.     running cedar (Lycopodium digitatum) http://www.namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=877 not invasive, listed as endangered in New York. I wish we could grow it here in middle ga… I’ve seen people dig it out of the mtns and attempt to grow it here… without success.
