Notes:
dark leaves, slightly purple color leaves, and small white flowers. Plant is about 12-18 in tall.

It does look like it could be Ageratina, as mentioned above. Also could be a black-leaved Eupatorium ‘Chocolate’. Is the plant that you have new, or in a dry area? Eupatorium will grow to 3-4′ tall if given shade and a moist area.
