A while ago, I took some grass runners from a late relative’s yard and replanted them in my own. I’ve always been under the impression that this grass is St. Augustine, but looking at pictures of St. Augustine online, my grass seems to differ in a couple ways: the stems look thicker, and the leaves look pointier. I believe my relative took this grass from Louisiana in the 70s. Does it look familiar to anyone? I’d like to buy more of this kind of grass to fill in my yard. Thanks!

OP here – upon further research, I think this is kikuyu grass.
