Notes:
We bought my husband’s grandmothers house last July. This year I am attempting to get her flower gardens back to what they were many years ago. I have no clue as to some of the plants that have come up since clearing out all of the over growth. This plant is weird and I have no clue as to what it is and there is only one of them. The top of it looks like a bloom, but is only leaves forming what looks like a bloom so far…and the leaves have tiny little spines on them. Any ideas?

Thanks Laura, I have looked it up and I do believe that may be the name of it. I appreciate your help! Tonya
