Eastern Baccarus tree or Groundsel tree. I am having trouble loading up USDA plant ID today. Try this link http://www.duke.edu/~cwcook/trees/baha.html

This looks like Groundsel. I saw many of them in bloom along Georgia Highway 129 between I-85 and Athens, the other week, then was given the name (Groundsel) during last Sunday’s “Dr. Durham’s Herb Walk” in the Oconee National Forest. Amazing sight among the yellows and oranges of the autumn forest.
