Notes:
We had “butterfly bushes” that we didn’t get in the ground B$ the winter. We tried to care for them indoors – watering etc….all the original plants died, but in one of the pots this began to grow. We would like to identify it so we can figure out how to care for it over the winter.

Correction: It should be “A. tuberosa”. Not “A.tubero”. But scratch that. I can’t tell which species this is.

The leaves are a bit blurry to be certain. I am guessing, the young seedlings maybe a type of butterfly weed aka milkweed plant (Asclepias). This might be A. tubero, it is hardy from zone 3-9. The butterfly bush (Buddleia davidii) is a woody shrub, it is hardy from zone 5-9. You can check these out two out to see if you have a match. Best wishes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asclepias https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddleja_davidii
