Found in May along dirt road near a pond in vemront
But which species? Anyone?
Hi Jim, taxonomists are hard at work again. According to sources, the Japanese knotweed (Polygonum reynoutia/Polygonum cuspidatum), the accepted name now is Reynoutria japonica Sieb. & Zucc. Those former are now among other synonyms.
Like Walter said: “BAD weed”.
