Pears – Managing Height
Q: I want to keep my nine foot tall Bradford pears no larger than fifteen feet tall. Is this possible with regular pruning each spring after flowering?
A: Bonsai artists prune and maintain trees that are normally a hundred feet tall down to just a foot or two tall. I’m sure with regular and judicious pruning you could modify the size of your Bradford pear.
