Thanks everyone! I believe Stone has figured it out: allium bulgaricum! I thought it looked like a nodding onion as well but it definitely looks like allium bulgaricum. Now I can look up hw to care and maintain this in my garden!

This lovely plant is driving me crazy. It looks like a cross between a Fritillaria Raddeana(Exquisite Crown Imperial Type) and a nodding onion. http://www.finegardening.com/plantguide/allium-cernuum-nodding-onion.aspx I can’t wait to find out what it is.
