Notes:
This is fruit from last fall, on a tree that looks like an apple. The blossoms, the leaves and the cut fruit all look apple-like. But the size and shape were not. These fruits are about 2 1/2 inches long. They never got ripe in the Great Lakes region. This tree is 10+ years old and at least 20′ high. Appreciate the help identifying this one!

This is a Bradford Pear tree. Unfortunatley, the berries are not for eating.

Looks more like a variety of Asian pear to me.
