Here is a “palm” plant that we see lots around in our neighborhood near Orlando, Florida. While the plant is in good condition, we want to remove it to make room for plants with more color/flowers. It certainly is hard, and can’t be pulled out easily. Any help getting th ename of the plant (and ideas on how to remove) would be very much appreciated. Thanks…

Looks possibly like Sabal palmetto. The distinguishing characteristic being the extension of the petiole into the leaf.
