Collards – Treated Seed
Q: Feb. 29, 1996
My pack of collards seeds says they are not for consumption. Does this mean the seeds or the plants?
A: The seeds have been treated with a fungicide powder, usually pink, to protect the young seedlings when they emerge. You can’t eat the seed but you can eat all of your collards safely.
