Sorghum – Identification

Q: This came up in my yard. At first I thought it was corn but it isn’t. What is it and where did it come from?
A: It looks like Sorghum bicolor, otherwise known as grain sorghum. Sorghum seed is a common component of bird see mixes so my bet is that that is the source.
