Notes:

I’m not sure what this tree is that I have; pictures attached.
the fruit is in clusters; not sure if edible or not.

Can you tell me what it is and if the fruit is edible?

This is a Persimmon tree and fruit. Yes the fruit is edible BUT ONLY AFTER the fruit has been frosted on first!! Otherwise they will taste super sour and suck all moisture out of your mouth. Not poisonous just bitter. But let the fruits start to look a little like they are going bad; get soft and the skin looking discolored and the flavor is amazing!,

Thank-you. I might need to wait until spring to see the flowers to compare.

Maybe some type of crabapple ( Malus )? Copy & paste the included link below for images of the inside cut sections of varieties of crabapple. Cut open your fruits to compare. If you are still uncertain, please resubmit with photos of the cut fruits & seeds. According to sources crabapple is edible. Flowers in spring can help confirming the ID genus. Best wishes!

Link to varieties of crabapple. Click on the species in red ink to view other cultivars.
