in the amaryllis family, Hymenocallis genus commonly called spider lily (as are other plants). Grows wild on my farm. A welcome sight.

This is a type of crynum liliy. Grows near rivers in South Ga and in Fla. is also what they call Cahaba lilies near Birmingham and they have festival of the lilies as it grows on banks of Cahaba River.
