Found this clump of exposed tubers under my magnolia tree. I got it out, not sure what it is. Can I get an ID from this picture?

It’s tough with out its leaves. Maybe rhizome from a type of Smilax? Check out Walter’s site on roots of Smilax! Perhaps you can also try to grow this in a container and see if it is of the genus. When green growths appear and you still don’t know, please resubmit with photo. Best wishes!
