I over seeded this fall and in a few spots these tufts of extra bright green grass has shot up. The blades look just like the rest of the fescue, they’re just really bright green and seem much more vigorous than the rest of the oversees fescue. They are also much more closely (bunched/ tufted together) than the rest.

Google Poa trivialis. It can be introduced into fescue lawns as an impurity in the product used to overseed. Cool season shade mixtures have been the source of the impurities in my personal experience. I have not found a good shot of the weed that was not attached to a forum, but there were some good ones there.
