I know it is called a Semaphore Plant and is endigenous( is that spelled right?) to Florida.

    The leaves & spiny trunk looks like of those in the genus Euphorbia milii (crown of thorns). The flowers will confirm its ID. The semaphore/telegraph plant is Codariocalyx motorius.The included link below is crown of thorns. Click on images to enlarge. Best wishes!
