Notes:
We planted this tree for my daughter about 4 years ago – the tree was 10 at the time so it would be as old as she is (2 other trees planted to grow with her died). It has done well but I noticed these awful looking places on the trunk and now I’m very worried about the tree’s health. What can I do for it? Is it dying?
